Macedonia multi-sport (Multi-sport activates around N.P. Galicica)

Arrival at Skopje airport and transfer to Ohrid. Accommodation in a hotel and orientation walk in the center of the city of UNESCO Ohrid. We take you around the old part, cliffs and breathtaking viewpoints to Lake Ohrid. Tonight we have dinner in a restaurant along the lake, tasting some lake fish specialties. Overnight in a hotel.

We prepare for a mountain hike from the village of Velestovo. On the way, we will enjoy nice views over Lake Ohrid and the stoning village of Gorno Koynsko, a place that will get you back a 100 years ago, abandoned old ruined houses with furniture and old tools still standing inside, we might see some elderly villagers, as well. We finally get to Elshani village where we rest for a while in a family house, and soon after, we prepare something in the kitchen with the help of our hosts for our lunch. We stay for one night in the family house in village Elshani or Ohrid.

The route starts from our accommodation place and from there we go to the main entrance of the National Park Galichica, passing through the village of Velestovo. The path crosses a forest of low-trunk plants and trees, and a rocky area, from where you will have a stunning view of the city of Ohrid. Then, the route gets to a larger area covered with pastures and a natural mountain lake, with a beautiful panorama. The next destination is the mountain house Asangjura, where lunch will be served. A tasting of quality Macedonian cheese, rakia and wine will be organized. Additionally, lunch will be served, which includes seasonal organic vegetables, homemade bread, side-dishes, and seasonal fruit or dessert. Then the route continues through a fantastic off-road path, which leads to a point with a magnificent view of the Prespa Lake (the lake on the other side from the mountain Galichica). The path then goes on the other side of the mountain, from the Ohrid Lake. From this point, you can enjoy stunning views over Lake Ohrid and mountain’s highest peak Magaro (2,225m, asl). From this point, we go in direction to the Monastery complex St.Naum where we will be accommodated, and shortly after, we go for a boat ride in the natural springs of the Black Drim Рiver that flows in Lake Ohrid.

With a traditional boat, we transfer our camping gear from the Monastery complex to one of the private beaches where we set our camp with the help of our guide, captain and of course your help. In the late afternoon/before sunset, together with our captain and guide, we will go into the lake to set our fishnets. For the rest of the day we enjoy the beauty around us, peaceful atmosphere, night swim far from modern technology and civilization. This day you will see the beauty of being in such an isolated place together with your friends or family.

Today we get early in the morning from our tends and together with our guide and captain we go to take our fishnets from the lake. Later you will be able to see the whole process of cleaning the nets and fish, how we prepare traditional fish soup and after breakfast, we are free to go for some kayaking and exploring one of the oldest lakes in Europe, lake Ohrid. This night we can enjoy our catch from the mourning so we will have some grilled fish, drinking some local wine under the stars. This day is reserved for water sports. Soon after we disassemble our camp with the help of our guide and captain we go for sailing in direction to Ohrid. We will have several stops, but one of them will be reserved for the Museum Bay of Bones where the diving center Amfora is located. Here you can discover the beauty from above and under this crystal clear water of Lake Ohrid and this settlement on water, presenting the time of early bronze age. We finish with our today activates, and soon we arrive in Ohrid. Later we go to a traditional Macedonian night.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport of Skopje.
