Skopje, capital of Macedonia (D)

Arrival at Skopje International Airport and transfer to Skopje. Accommodation in a hotel and orientation walk in the city center. We take you around the old part, the city center, and after a good walk through the most beautiful Skopje sites; we go to a welcoming dinner in a restaurant with traditional food. Overnight in a hotel in Skopje.

Skopje–Vodno mountain –Matka canyon – Popova Sapka (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we will drive up to the cable car starting point on the mount of Vodno and climb to the top of the hill, to the Millennium Cross. From here we continue hiking to Matka Canyon, with stops at the St. Nikola monastery for an unbelievable view of the Canyon. We will climb down to lake Matka for lunch, short hike around the lake, and visit the Vrelo cave, one of the deepest world cave lakes, and an applicant for a natural world wonder. From here we continue to Popova Shapka for dinner and overnight.

Popova Sapka – Colorful Mosque - Mavrovo (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we depart for hiking on Popova Shapka. Today we will hike through amazing views of mountain Shar to the place called Leshnica. We will pass some small sheep farms and local farmers on the route, explore beautiful natural lakes, and at the end get back to Popova Sapka.  After lunch, we go to Tetovo and visit the beautiful Colorful Mosque. We spend some time taking pictures and we continue to Mavrovo. We check into the guesthouse and go to the restaurant near the artificial lake of Mavrovo.

Mavrovo – Carevec – Cavkarnik – Mavrovo (B, L, D)

Today we spend the entire day in the Mavrovo National Park, the biggest national park in Macedonia. From our accommodation place, we have a short transfer to our starting point – viewpoint Carevec with great views over Mavrovo lake, Medenica peak, and Korab peak, the highest in Macedonia and Albania. From the viewpoint, we head in the direction of Cavkarnik peak and from there we start descending to Mavrovo and our accommodation place.

Mavrovo – Galicnik - Jance – Ohrid (B, L, D)

After breakfast, we have a transfer to the viewpoint of Carevec. When we get there, we will start walking in the direction of Galicnik village. From here we will hike the slopes of the National Park until we cut and continue our road to the village of Galichnik, the unique small village famous for the legends of the Gauls. We will climb the highest spot from where we have a unique view of the Radika-Canyon. When we leave this village we continue an hour and a half hike to the small village of Ianche. in lanche we will learn about the first place where Eco tourism in Macedonia was developed and about the wonders of the natural herbs. Overnight in Ohrid after a traditional dinner.

Ohrid – Parumba - Vevcani – Ohrid (B, L, D)

This mooring we have 40min to 1h transfer from Ohrid to our starting point in the village Gorna Belica. From there we start climbing up the Jablanica mountain in direction to the small church – locals call Parumba. From here we continue west, toward the Albanian border and then we start climbing down by a nice valley to the same place from where we start. From Gorna Belica, we have a transfer to Vevcani, where we go for lunch, and later we are going to visit the Vevcani springs and a water mill near the springs. In the end, we have 1h transfer to Ohrid and our hotel.

Ohrid – Velestovo – Baba pass - Bitola (B, L, D)

Today we spend most of our time in the National Park Galichica. We have a short transfer to the village of Velestovo. From there we start walking and we will spend all day walking in the National Park Galichica. We will explore the flora and fauna and see some abandoned villages, the most beautiful views over Lake Ohrid, and finally, we will get to the village of Pestani from where we take our transfer to Bitola. Around 2h we will spend driving in the heart of the N.P.Galicica and again we will enjoy great panoramas of the Ohrid and Prespa natural lakes. Tonight we will be accommodated in N.P.Pelister, in a nice family-owned hotel.

Molika – Jorgov Kamen – Dihovo (B, L, D)

We start this day with a short transfer to our starting point – Hotel Molika. From there we will walk under pine forest till we get to Jorgov stone –a nice viewpoint with great panoramas over Pelagonija valley, city of Bitola, Kajmakcalan mountain – natural border with Greece and region of Mariovo. From this point, we continue with our walk to Dihovo village where we stay for one night in a family house.

Dihovo – Pelister’s eyes – Dihovo - Krusevo (B, L, D)

Today after the morning breakfast we have a short transfer to our starting point and from there we will walk to Pelister’s eyes, two lakes which are present since the ice age. First, we are going to see Big Lake, then see some nice views over Lake Prespa and soon after, we will see the small lake. From there we will start going down towards Jorgov Stone-viewpoint and from there we will get to Dihovo. From here we will take our transfer to Krusevo- the highest town in the Balkan.

Krusevo (B, L, D)

Today we will walk in the historically most important city in Macedonia and at the same time the highest city in the Balkan, Krusevo. On our walk today we are going to explore Krusevo, hear stories about its importance through history, visit some monuments, and then we can enjoy the specialties in a local restaurant. The rest of the day you are free to make your own explorations.

Krusevo – Treskavec – Popova Kula vinery (B, L, D)

After our breakfast, we have a transfer to the Treskavec Monastery. A place with great ambient, peace, history, and views on all 4 sights (e, w, n, s). We will visit the Monastery complex, walk around and then we can start descending in direction to King Marko’s fortress. When we get there we can enjoy views over the city of Tobacco and Jokes. Bellow this fortress is the female Monastery of Archangel Michail. Later we go for lunch in the city and later transfer to Popova Kula winery for sinner and winetasting. We will be accommodated in the winery hotel.
